
Desktop Support Engineer

- Serve as the first line of support for all IT-related issues, requests, and incidents via phone, email, and ticketing systems (Jira Service Desk).
- Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows 10/11) and applications (Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating to higher-level support teams when necessary.
- Support collaboration and communication tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, etc.).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies through Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Administer endpoint security tools (antivirus, endpoint protection, VPN, MFA solutions).
- Assist with asset management, patch management, and software deployment.
- Support mobile devices (iOS/Android) including email setup, VPN access, and MDM solutions.
- Document troubleshooting steps, create user guides, and maintain the IT knowledge base.
- Ensure tickets are resolved within SLA timelines with clear, professional communication.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure, networking, and cloud services (basic troubleshooting of Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, DNS, and Office 365 connectivity issues).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years of experience in Service Desk/Desktop Support or similar role.
- Strong proficiency with:
- Operating Systems: Windows 10/11
- Productivity Tools: Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Ticketing System: Jira Service Desk (or ServiceNow/Zendesk equivalent)
- User Management: Active Directory, Azure AD
- Collaboration Tools: Teams, Zoom, Slack
- Endpoint Security: Antivirus, VPN, MFA tools
- Remote Support Tools: TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- High attention to detail, customer service orientation, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
