Role Overview :

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of passionate engineers, drive technical excellence, and contribute directly to the product roadmap. You will be responsible for building scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, while also nurturing a high-performance engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend engineers.

- Own end-to-end technical delivery of backend services and APIs that power our app ecosystem.

- Design and implement scalable and secure architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute on the product roadmap.

- Ensure high code quality, performance, and reliability across systems.

- Implement engineering best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.

- Take ownership of team performance and productivity; provide continuous feedback and career development.

- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in the development process.

- Maintain a strong focus on building a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Requirements :

years of hands-on experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot.

- Proven experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or engineering management role.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and scalable architectures.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management skills.

- Passion for mentoring and growing engineering talent.

- Experience in agile development methodologies.

- Prior experience in a product-based or startup environment is a plus.
