Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and optimize our manufacturing operations in our Parvatipur factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, proven leadership skills, and a data-driven approach to problem-solving. Experience in the metal household products industry is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Control:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.

  • Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials, equipment, and manpower.

  • Monitor production progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Quality Management:

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet the highest standards.

  • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits.

  • Address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels.

  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and obsolescence.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of production workers.

  • Provide training and guidance to team members.

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare production reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Utilize ERP systems and other data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) to generate meaningful insights and reports.
  • Provide regular updates to management on production progress and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Production preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Production Manager in a metal household products manufacturing environment (copper utensils, aluminum utensils, pressure cookers, home appliances)
  • Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and inventory management principles
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting using ERP systems other relevant tools
  • Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
