Job Summary:

The General Duty Assistant (GDA) will be responsible for providing basic patient care and support services to clients at their homes. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, maintaining hygiene, monitoring basic health parameters, and ensuring overall comfort and well-being under the supervision of nursing or medical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  • Support in patient mobilityhelping them walk, exercise, or use assistive devices.
  • Maintain patient hygiene and a clean, safe environment at the home.
  • Assist in basic health checks and promptly report any health concerns to the nursing supervisor.
  • Administer oral medications or topical applications as per instructions.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical and non-medical waste.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of patients and their families.
  • Follow all company protocols and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified General Duty Assistant (GDA) from a recognized training institute (NSDC or equivalent).
  • Freshers can also apply
  • Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and first aid.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families.
