Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the data team to gather input data, perform detailed quality checks, and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Load and manage spatial datasets in SDE databases, ensuring proper formatting, schema adjustments, and efficient organization for seamless data integration and accessibility.
  • Configure, style, and label data layers in ArcGIS Pro, applying advanced symbology, data-driven styles, and ensuring adherence to project visual standards.
  • Publish and configure spatial layers on ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal/Server) and design web maps, web scenes, dashboards, and simple web apps using ArcGIS Dashboards, Web AppBuilder, or QGIS.
  • Manage ArcGIS Enterprise, including ArcGIS Server, Portal, and Datastore, while resolving access, permission, and functionality issues and ensuring data accuracy and availability.
  • Develop custom maps, perform cartographic design, and create advanced visualizations like heatmaps, density maps, and 3D models to provide insights for stakeholders.
  • Implement automated GIS workflows using Python, ModelBuilder, or SQL to improve operational efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing GIS technical guidance, training, and support to junior team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in computer science, geography, surveying, engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 Years

Required skills:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro/QGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise and SDE, with strong understanding of data validation and spatial database management.
  • Proficient in creating and managing complex geodatabases, merging spatial data with external data sources, and performing more advanced data layering techniques.
  • Well versed with various Projections and Coordinate systems as well as Data Management geoprocessing tools
  • Experience in advanced layer styling, symbology, and configuration for optimized web map creation.
  • Familiarity with data cleaning, validation, and quality control practices to ensure accurate and reliable spatial data outputs.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting ArcGIS Enterprise issues and maintaining published resources.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to validate data accuracy and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Effective communication for coordinating with the data team and developers.
  • Ability to guide junior team members in basic GIS tasks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Geoserver and Its Styling and Publishing.
  • Knowledge of Python Scripting in QGIS and ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge of Model Builder in ArcGIS, and publishing web tools
