Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level PPT Accessibility Tester to join our team in Hyderabad on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will ensure PowerPoint presentations meet established accessibility standards and compliance guidelines, enhancing usability for all users. This critical role involves conducting thorough accessibility evaluations and collaborating with teams to deliver inclusive digital solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in PowerPoint accessibility features and implementation (Mandatory skill), ensuring presentations are usable by people with various disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 guidelines (Mandatory skill), with experience applying these standards to digital content for compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of PDF/UA compliance requirements (Mandatory skill) for exporting accessible presentations to PDF format while meeting industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using accessibility validation tools to test and identify issues in PowerPoint presentations for remediation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of color contrast guidelines, ensuring visuals and text are distinguishable for users with visual impairments.
  • Ability to apply accessible design principles in slide layouts, graphical elements, and text content to enhance readability and navigation.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 standards and experience validating content for regulatory compliance in both public and private sector environments.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying, documenting, and resolving accessibility barriers in presentation files.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review PowerPoint presentations for accessibility compliance, focusing on WCAG 2.1, PDF/UA, and Section 508 guidelines.
  • Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing using specialized tools to identify and report issues requiring remediation.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to provide feedback, guidance, and best practices for accessible presentation development.
  • Remediate identified accessibility issues to create inclusive and legally compliant PowerPoint files and exported PDFs.
  • Create detailed accessibility test reports, documenting issues, recommended solutions, and verification of resolved problems.
  • Train and support teams in understanding and implementing accessibility principles throughout the presentation creation process.
  • Stay current with industry standards, emerging accessibility technologies, and compliance requirements relevant to digital presentations.
  • Advocate for accessibility, promoting awareness across the organization and driving initiatives that improve digital inclusion.
