Lead - OTT - Jio Media Application Operation.

Work Location

Reliance Corporate Park - Navi Mumbai

Scope

Day to day Application Operation Support for OTT Platform - JioTV, Jio News, Jio CDN, Jio Games, Headend and associated applications.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of OTT platforms, video streaming technologies, and content delivery networks.
• Experience knowledge of media codecs, formats, transports and container protocols, such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, AAC, AC3, MP4, TS, etc.
• Experience in Multicast and Streaming technologies such as HLS (http Live Streaming), HDS(Http Dynamic Streaming), Microsoft Smooth, DASH, RTMP, DRM.
• Should have knowledge in Headend Architecture (Antennas, IRDS, Encoders, Switches etc.) and CDN architectures (caches, origin servers, proxies, etc.) would be an added advantage.
• Strong networking experience, preferably one or more network certification.
• Candidate should be specialized in running 24x7 Business Critical IT Operations.
• Must have strong People Management skills and should have handled more than 40+ member team.
• Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
• Strong presentation, reporting, analytical and documentation skills
• Strong knowledge of architecture, design and implementation of microservices in Kubernetes environments
• Hands-on knowledge on two or more of the Database Technologies (MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra, Elastic Search, Redis)
• Experience on Application Monitoring Tools & Configuration.
• Should have Cloud technologies Experience (GCP, Azure or AWS)
• Good to have Devops & CI/CD Automation Experience (Azure Devops, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible etc)
• Understanding of DR setups and Drills. Active – Active DR setups / Active – Passive DR setups
• Strong exposure to Governance, Risk and Controls for compliance and Audits including Vulnerabilities Assessment and closures

Responsibilities

• Responsible for End to End Understanding of the Application operation environment.
• This role requires a unique blend of talent, leadership and attention to detail. We are looking at someone who is comfortable being both creative and analytical. You need to have an entrepreneurial mindset and an urgency to execute ideas.
• Responsible for maintenance of the Production and Replica Environment for the supported applications.
• Single Point of Contact for Operational Requirements for the supported application during the shift / supported application / technologies.
• Ensure minimum Impact of any change get introduced in the Application including Infrastructure side.
• Responsible for application capacity management, optimum utilization of available infrastructure and ensure Golden/standard configuration is maintained across the application with proactive change detection.
• Identify application related challenges, caveats, risks involved and come out with new initiatives & ideas to resolve the issues on a permanent basis.
• Manage and track progress and completion of projects with end to end Ownership for Project Activities related to Application operation management Define and implementation of best practice, world class standards and run book automation for Application operation.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to enhance the existing documentation sets, Process definition,
• Improved workflow processes for new deployments
• Enhancements for improved reporting and proactive monitoring
• Responsible to ensure all the Applications KPI Monitoring within the threshold.
• Ensure 99.99% for Application Availability.
• Ensure 100% Security Compliance for the supported Applications.
• Work closely with Product Team, IT Infrastructure team, Service Management Team and other echo system integrated application team to ensure all aspects of the application operation life cycle management in the production environment.
• Experience in ITSM - Service Management Process (Incident, Change, Problem, Defects …)

Who Can Apply?

• Engineering Graduate with minimum 15 to 18 years of IT experience.
• Having Relevant Experience – years in providing Application Operations support
• At least 5+ years' experience in Media / TV / Content Delivery based IT application Operation.
