Position Summary

We are seeking a Factory Manager with a minimum of 15 years of experience in handling overall factory operations in a manufacturing setup—preferably in fabrication, engineering components, or scaffolding systems. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills and deep technical knowledge in fabrication processes, engineering drawings, material handling, production planning, quality control, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Supervise and control daily production activities to ensure timely and quality output.

Plan and schedule manufacturing activities to meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource use.

Ensure preventive maintenance and smooth functioning of machinery and equipment.

Monitor factory KPIs including productivity, efficiency, wastage, and quality performance.

Team & Department Management

Lead and manage the factory team including production, quality, maintenance, stores, and dispatch.

Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and discipline.

Develop and train shop-floor workers and supervisors for skill improvement and efficiency.

Technical Oversight

Read and interpret engineering drawings related to fabrication, welding, and assembly.

Monitor fabrication processes such as cutting, welding, grinding, and finishing.

Handle fabrication of Cuplock systems, MS structures, shuttering plates, etc.

Ensure proper use of jigs, fixtures, and fabrication tools.

Quality & Safety Compliance

Implement and monitor quality control procedures as per standards.

Ensure compliance with safety norms and factory regulations.

Coordinate with the quality department to ensure defect-free production.

Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with senior management for production planning and project requirements.

Coordinate with the purchase department for raw materials and consumables.

Maintain documentation, stock registers, production reports, and daily MIS.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, and shop-floor management.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production layouts.

Proficiency in handling factory operations with leadership and people-management skills.

Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.

Computer literacy and basic ERP knowledge.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.

Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in factory/fabrication operations, preferably in a medium-scale engineering or scaffolding manufacturing unit.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in managing fabrication shops for scaffolding, shuttering, structural items, or construction equipment.

Should reside near Moraiya, Changodar, Bavla, Sarkhej or nearby industrial zones.

Capable of independently managing 40–50 workers and production teams.
