Stalwart Themius is seeking a PHP Architect for one of our clients based out of Ahmedabad who are a renowned global provider of comprehensive digital commerce solutions for some of the world's largest enterprises.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled PHP Architect to join our client's team and help lead the development of high-quality, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with PHP frameworks, a deep understanding of web technologies, and a strong ability to design and optimize software architectures. The PHP Architect will work closely with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that our web applications meet business requirements and are built with performance, security, and scalability in mind.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using PHP and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, define project scope, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Architect and implement efficient and reusable PHP code, following best practices for code organization, performance optimization, and security.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate PHP frameworks and libraries to meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, API specifications, and code comments.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices and coding standards.
  • Continuously monitor and assess new PHP trends and technologies, recommending improvements and optimizations to our development process and infrastructure.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring that code adheres to established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of web applications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any technical challenges that may arise.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on web application architecture and design.
  • Expertise in at least one PHP framework (such as Laravel, Symfony, or Yii), and familiarity with others.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (such as MySQL or PostgreSQL) and experience with NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB or Redis).
  • Experience with API design and development, including RESTful web services.
  • Proficient in version control systems (such as Git) and development workflows.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to collaborate and share knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
