Application Support Senior Lead

Summary:

Manage application support for SAP systems to ensure their smooth operation and reliability. Implement corrective measures in case of failures or errors, conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, collaborating with other IT professionals as needed.

• Lead and manage Application Support teams for financial reporting applications such as Oracle and SAP BW.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth operation.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex system functionality, scalability, and security challenges.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance system stability, minimize downtime, and improve user experience.
• Monitor system health using logs, metrics, dashboards, and other monitoring tools.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to safeguard business continuity.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in enterprise software applications.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on system status and remediation progress.
• Identify and drive process improvements and efficiency gains within the team.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge base articles and documentation for system administration and support processes.

• 10 years of experience in managing application support teams, ideally within financial reporting or enterprise systems.
• Team management, conflict resolution, application support experience.
• Candidate should have strong technical expertise with platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud EPM Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS), Oracle Cloud Analytics (OAC), Service Now, Amazon Web Services (AWS Console), ESP Workload Automation Workstation 11.3, General Ledger (JEs, periods, dimensions. etc.), data flow processing understanding.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and internal audit processes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies for system improvement and user experience enhancement.
• Proficiency in using monitoring tools and analyzing system metrics.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in enterprise application support.
• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and team efficiency.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
