Job Description: Sales Manager (Steel Industry – Pipes, Fittings, Boiler & IBR Products)Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with expertise in the steel industry, particularly in pipes, fittings, boiler components, and Indian Boiler Regulation (IBR) products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic initiatives to expand market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional/national sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Create and present compelling sales proposals, quotations, and presentations to communicate the value proposition of steel products.
- Negotiate and close profitable sales contracts with customers.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and industry trends.
- Forecast sales, develop accurate sales pipelines, and monitor performance against targets.
- Track and analyze sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
- Manage pricing, credit policies, and payment collections in line with company guidelines.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order execution and client satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to strengthen brand presence.
Requirements
- Proven track record of 5–10 years in sales/business development within the steel industry (pipes, fittings, boiler, IBR products).
- Strong knowledge of steel grades, IBR regulations, and industrial applications.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25, ₹85,000.00 per month
