Role & responsibilities

Counseling and guidance

  • Provide personalized advice based on a student's academic background, career aspirations, and financial situation.
  • Help students choose suitable courses, universities, and countries for their study abroad journey.
  • Offer guidance on standardized tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or GRE, and assist with test preparation.

Application and admissions

  • Assist students in preparing and submitting application materials, such as personal statements, resumes, and letters of recommendation.
  • Guide students through the entire application process to international institutions.
  • Help students with scholarship and financial aid applications.

Visa and logistics

  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance on visa applications and immigration procedures.
  • Conduct pre-departure sessions to prepare students for living and studying in a new cultural environment.

Preferred candidate profile

Required qualifications and experience

  • Education: A bachelor's degree is typically required, often in counseling, education, international relations, or a related field. Some roles may prefer or require a master's degree or certifications.
  • Experience: Required Fresher's or a minimum of 1 years of experience in the overseas education or counseling industry is often a prerequisite. Experience in student advising or a related educational setting is also highly beneficial.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of both spoken and written English is essential. Proficiency in the local language and potentially other foreign languages is advantageous.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are crucial for assisting students and parents effectively.
  • Counseling: Ability to assess student needs, provide academic and career guidance, and offer insights on living abroad.
  • Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of international education systems, admission processes, and standardized tests like IELTS and TOEFL.
  • Sales and Results-Oriented: A willingness to achieve targets, work under pressure, and be a self-starter with a results-driven approach.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help students navigate challenges in the application and relocation process.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
