Group Head - Quality ( Textile Quality, Home Textile)

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Quality head promotes, develops, and oversees compliance of the company quality system.

Effectively assuring compliance of customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards,

procedures, programs and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.

∙Ensures compliance with the customer requirements, quality policy, company standards

regulatory and external standards.

∙Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes;

measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance

qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.

∙Expert in implementing quality systems and control procedures.

∙Strong technical knowledge of textile processing, dyeing and printing

∙Knowledge of basic test requirements and acceptable parameters for textile goods, like

shrinkage, colour fastness, etc. Also, must have knowledge of lab testing procedures

∙Knowledge of BSCI, WRAP, ISO, SA 8000, GoNoGo compliance requirements

∙Team handling experience at least 5.

∙Customers handled – IKEA

∙Devising and establishing a company's quality procedures, standards and specifications.


•Co-coordinating with purchasing department and Store to establish quality standards for in-

house material.


•Setting Working standards for quality.


•Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data.


•Looking at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency.


•Monitoring statistical method reporting.


•Conducting the Quality circles meeting with employees.


•Conducting Quality awareness program to the workers, regarding working & quality

Standards.


•Customer complaint files maintaining for all buyers.


•Reviewing the Quality controller reports on daily basis.


•Proven experience working in SAP

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

∙Experience – 10 – 16yrs

∙Location: Sricity, Tada, Tamabaram / MEPZ

∙Education: B.Tech in Textile (Certificate in internal audits preferably)

∙Experience Background: Home textile Exports.

∙Knowledge of SAP preferred
