Area Sales Manager (Lubes and Filtration)
Reports to National Sales Head - Lubes and Filtration
Location: Kolkata, Hyderabad, Dhanbad & Nagpur
Profile Overview:
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales of lubricants and filtration products in the assigned region / territory. This role involves overseeing the sales operations, customer account management and ensuring the product lines meets its financial and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the lubricant and filtration (preferable) industry and a solid understanding of mining, construction and infrastructure market segments.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day sales planning and execution, focusing on effective coverage and reach within the allocated region.
- Ensure the weekly and monthly targets are accomplished
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, and ensure high levels of customer engagement.
- Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Establish and nurture cross selling opportunities with other businesses and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular product training and orientation sessions for the aftermarket sales team
- Manage the financial performance of the product lines, including revenue generation and profitability analysis.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business performance, key metrics and competitive activities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Engg.
- 8-10 years in the lubricant and filtration industry
- Working experience with major lubricant manufacturer (Shell, Castrol, Valvoline, Gulf Oil, Exxon) and / or Filtration manufacturer (Donaldson, Fleetguard, Purolator, Parker) OR with the respective OEM dealership will be preferred.
- Field Sales and Direct Customer exposure is mandatory.
