Job Title: HR Manager – Manufacturing Plant

Location: Kala Amb (Himachal Pradesh) and Chennai( Tamil Nadu)

Reports To: Plant Head

Job Summary:

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing and executing the complete HR and administrative functions at the plant level. This includes overseeing end-to-end recruitment, attendance and time management, statutory and HR compliance, employee engagement, and general administration. The role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational, compliance, and people management skills, ideally with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  2. Manage end-to-end recruitment for all levels at the plant, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  3. Coordinate with department heads to identify staffing needs and plan recruitment activities accordingly.
  4. Manage vendor relationships with recruitment agencies.
  5. Ensure smooth induction and orientation of new employees.

  6. Attendance and Time Monitoring

  7. Supervise attendance systems (manual and automated, e.g., biometric, ERP).

  8. Monitor daily attendance, leave management, absenteeism trends, and overtime data.
  9. Ensure timely and accurate data sharing with the payroll team.
  10. Investigate and resolve attendance-related discrepancies.

  11. HR Compliance & Statutory Adherence

  12. Ensure compliance with labor laws and factory act regulations (PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages, Gratuity, etc.).

  13. Handle labor inspections, audits, and documentation.
  14. Maintain up-to-date records of all statutory registers and compliance reports.
  15. Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address gaps and issues.

  16. Manufacturing Plant Compliance

  17. Oversee plant-level HR compliance audits and ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.

  18. Conduct training programs on code of conduct, workplace ethics, and legal compliance.
  19. Liaise with government and regulatory bodies as required.

  20. Employee Relations and Engagement

  21. Serve as the first point of contact for all plant-level employee relations.

  22. Handle grievances and disciplinary actions in line with company policies.
  23. Foster a positive working environment through employee engagement initiatives.
  24. Facilitate communication between plant management and employees.

  25. Administrative Functions

  26. Oversee general administration, including housekeeping, security, canteen, transport, etc.

  27. Manage facility-related activities, infrastructure maintenance, and vendor management.
  28. Monitor administrative budgets and cost control measures.
  29. Ensure workplace hygiene, safety, and basic amenities for staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
  • Solid understanding of labor laws and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in HRMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary Range- 7-9 LPA
