
Collection executive

Job Purpose:
The Collection Executive is responsible for managing and recovering overdue loans, ensuring timely follow-ups with customers, maintaining proper documentation, and achieving collection targets while providing excellent customer service in line with NBFC policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Recovery & Collections:
- Follow up with customers for overdue loan repayments through calls, emails, and in-person visits.
- Maintain a schedule for regular follow-ups and ensure timely recovery.
- Negotiate repayment plans with borrowers as per company guidelines.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain good relationships with borrowers to encourage timely repayments.
- Provide assistance and guidance to customers regarding repayment options, interest, and other loan-related queries.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions with customers.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports for management.
- Update the system with repayment statuses, defaults, and legal follow-ups.
- Legal & Compliance:
- Escalate cases of chronic default to higher authorities for legal action.
- Ensure all collection activities comply with RBI guidelines, NBFC policies, and legal regulations.
- Target Achievement:
- Meet individual and team collection targets.
- Identify high-risk accounts and prioritize efforts accordingly.
- Field Visits (if applicable):
- Conduct home visits or site visits to customers who are delinquent.
- Verify customer information and loan usage when required.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
- Attention to detail for record-keeping and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of loan products, finance, and NBFC operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate (preferred).
- Prior experience in collections, banking, or NBFC sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with MS Office and collection software is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20, ₹35,000.00 per month
