Must-Have Skills

  1. Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including:
  2. Reports (Classical and Interactive)
  3. ALV (ABAP List Viewer)
  4. Smart Forms and SAP Scripts
  5. Enhancements (User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Framework)
  6. Data Dictionary (Tables, Views, Structures, Data Elements, Domains etc.)
  7. Experience with Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
  8. Hands on in BAPI, RFC development, Proxies and ODATA.
  9. Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization techniques.
  10. Experience with module pool programming and dialog programming.
  11. Experience in IDoc and ALE processing.
  12. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  13. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Good exposure on SAP migrations and conversions.

2. Knowledge of SAP Modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI) and their integration points.

3. Experience with Workflow development.

4. Exposure to SAP Integration (e.g., SAP PI/PO ).

5. Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Develop, test, and deploy custom ABAP solutions as per business requirements.
  2. Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
  3. Analyze and optimize existing ABAP code for performance improvements.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  5. Document technical specifications and ensure adherence to SAP best practices.
  6. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
  7. Support SAP upgrades and migrations as required.
