The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Developer who possesses a unique blend of strong backend ABAP programming skills and hands-on frontend SAP Fiori development experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle from designing and building performant backend services to creating intuitive, user-friendly Fiori applications. You will work closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into elegant technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and implement custom SAP applications, including both enhancements and new developments.
  • Backend Development: Create and optimize CDS Views, OData Services (using SAP Gateway), and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) objects to expose data for Fiori apps.
  • Frontend Development: Develop, customize, and extend SAP Fiori applications using Fiori Elements and SAPUI5/OpenUI5 frameworks.
  • Leverage ABAP on HANA expertise to write efficient code and push down computations to the database layer for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants (FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.) to understand business processes and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Extend and modify standard SAP-delivered Fiori apps to meet specific business needs.
  • Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance and integration issues across the full stack (backend to frontend).
  • Manage and configure the Fiori Launchpad and associated security (roles and catalogs).

Required Technical Skills and Experience (Must-Have):

  • Extensive hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori development.
  • Proven experience in building Core Data Services (CDS) Views and annotating them for UI.
  • Experience with AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).
  • SAP Gateway & OData:
  • Solid experience in developing and maintaining OData services.
  • Fiori Development:
  • Hands-on experience with Fiori Elements (List Report, Object Page, Analytical apps).
  • Experience with SAPUI5 or OpenUI5 (JavaScript, XML, MVC architecture).
  • Experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) is a significant plus.
  • Understanding of SAP Fiori design principles, security model (roles, catalogs, groups), and deployment.
