Job Title: Project Construction Head & O&M Head

Reporting to: Management

Job Summary:

To lead and manage end-to-end execution of Biogas Purification (CBG) projects from design review to final commissioning, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory requirements. The role demands expertise in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and automation related to CBG plants. The person will act as a Project Manager for the client.

Key Skills:

1. 15-20 years in STP/WTP/ZLD/Effluent Treatment Plant projects with at least 5 years in a project management role.
2. Strong knowledge of STP/ZLD/WTP/ETP process design, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), instrumentation, PLC/SCADA automation, and control systems.
3. Proven track record in managing large turnkey projects from installation to commissioning.
4. Project management (MS Project / Primavera preferred)
5. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management
7. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IS, IEC, NFPA, ISO, etc.)
8. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

5. Successful commissioning without major rework

Education:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering (or related).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Prepare detailed project execution plans, schedules.
• Coordinate with design, procurement teams for smooth execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities for approvals and compliance
• Ensure the construction and closure of the project as per the scope.
• Scope change management for client and supplier

2. Technical Leadership

·      Review and interpret engineering drawings (P&ID, GA, SLD, wiring diagrams, control logic).

·      Ensure correct installation of pumps, blowers, piping, valves, tanks, clarifiers, aeration systems, and other STP mechanical equipment.

·      Oversee installation of MCC panels, VFDs, motors, cabling, earthing, and electrical distribution systems.

·      Supervise installation, calibration, and testing of instrumentation (flow meters, pressure transmitters, level sensors, DO meters, pH meters, SCADA systems).

·      Ensure integration of automation and control systems for plant operation, including PLC/SCADA programming validation.

·      Develop construction standards and documentations including checklists.

3. Execution & Supervision

·      Supervise & Manage site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to meet quality and safety standards during construction/installation.

·      Conduct progress reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to specifications.

·      Oversee FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) for all equipment and systems.

·      Ensure compliance with environmental norms and statutory requirements.

·      Develop project reports including budget for management review

4. Commissioning & Handover

·      Plan and execute plant pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance trials.

·      Train client/operators in plant operation and maintenance.

·      Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and project closure reports.

5. Operation & Maintenance of Commissioned Plants

·      Ensure smooth operations of commissioned plant by periodic visit.

·      Prepare Schedule Maintenance & Breakdown Maintenance schedule.

·      Review of plant performance

6. HSE & Quality Compliance

·      Enforce safety protocols at site as per ISO and OSHA standards.

·      Implement quality checks and maintain documentation for audits.
