Senior Manager – Finance and Accounts

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) industry. As a senior member of the Finance team, the Senior Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations, develop and implement internal control policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants by providing required documentation, responding to findings, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Contribute to financial and legal due diligence processes and perform under high-pressure scenarios.
- Assist in the development and implementation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget adherence and work closely with department heads to optimize spending.
- Ensure alignment with relevant accounting standards, laws, and financial regulations.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic goals.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and overall working capital to maximize efficiency in cash utilization.
- Design and implement strategies to mitigate cash flow risks and ensure financial stability.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
- Identify process synergies across Cash, Intercompany, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions and implement industry best practices.
- Handle investor queries and prepare board-level presentations and financial reports.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10–15 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
- Prior experience in a startup environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and create department-specific SOPs in line with accounting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software/tools.
