JD for Sr Executive - Finance (Accounts payable)

The ideal candidate will ensure timely, accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments, while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor master data and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable aging reports.
  • Collaborate with procurement and other departments to resolve purchase order and invoice mismatches.
  • Monitor and process advances and expense claims in accordance with company travel and expense policies.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Support internal and external audits related to accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws (e.g., TDS, GST) and company policies.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 35 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar ERP).

  • Strong MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

  • Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.

  • Familiarity with tax implications (GST, TDS, etc.) in AP transactions.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in shared services or a multinational environment.

  • Working knowledge of workflow and approval tools
