Role & responsibilities

  • Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues
  • Machining process knowledge for gear manufacturing from forging to final dispatch
  • Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians and other staff
  • Lead and guide Metrology Lab team, for CMM, gear tester and other equipment's
  • Prompt and active decision making for the process to be taken
  • Adhere to process and control of QAQC
  • PPM benchmark to be maintained all across the organisation
  • Provide solution and response in timely manner to customer complains
  • Vendor audits and supplier audit to be done timely to maintain quality
  • Help NPD team for getting the development parts timely checked and dispatched
  • Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking in-processes and final output
  • Appraise customers requirements and make sure they are satisfied
  • Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate corrective action
  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
  • Review current standards and policies
  • Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
  • Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspection.
  • Lead the Quality function across gear manufacturing operations (cutting, hobbing, shaving, grinding, heat treatment, inspection)
  • Develop and implement the quality roadmap for achieving zero-defect manufacturing.
  • Mentor and guide Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Lab Technicians.
