Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team for a critical banking project focused on payment gateways. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in API documentation and XML DITA, with a strong technical background and the ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain high-quality technical documentation for APIs, including user guides, integration manuals, and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand and document payment gateway systems and related banking technologies.
  • Write and edit technical documents in XML DITA, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Create clear and concise user documentation, FAQs, and how-to guides for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts to gather detailed information.
  • Manage documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in payment gateway technologies and API documentation best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in API documentation, particularly in a banking or financial services context.
  • Proficiency in XML DITA and other documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working in agile environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on API documentation.
  • Familiarity with payment gateway systems and the banking domain.
  • B.E. or any graduation or masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.Role & responsibilities
