Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating Dispatches:
  • Receiving and verifying customer orders and requests.
  • Planning and scheduling deliveries or pickups.
  • Assigning tasks to drivers or delivery personnel.
  • Monitoring the status of deliveries and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Preparing shipping documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
  • Maintaining accurate records of dispatch activities, including schedules, routes, and driver performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Communication and Customer Service:
  • Communicating with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues.
  • Liaising with other departments, such as sales, operations, and warehouse, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Resolving customer inquiries and complaints related to deliveries.
  • Other tasks:
  • May involve coordinating with transportation providers (e.g., couriers, trucking companies).
  • May be involved in preparing reports and analyzing dispatch data.
  • Safety:
  • Monitor and adhere to safety procedures, ensuring that dispatch operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, drivers, and other staff.
