The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP S/4 Hana systems and a strong background in quality assurance and functional testing within the retail industry. This role involves validating complex data extraction logic, ensuring accurate reconciliation processes, and verifying the creation and update of custom tables.

Responsibilities:

Test Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Execute functional tests to validate data extraction logic, reconciliation processes, and system updates.
  • Perform detailed validation of document numbers, site profiles, and delivery numbers.

Data Validation:

  • Ensure accurate extraction of data based on site type and date range.
  • Validate the retrieval of document types from configuration tables and ensure no hardcoding in the code.
  • Verify the filtering of data based on specific criteria such as site profiles and document types.

Custom Table Validation:

  • Validate the creation and update of custom tables.
  • Ensure accurate update of inventory details in custom tables.
  • Perform error handling and recovery validation during the update process.

Batch Job Validation:

  • Validate the update of relevant tables after the completion of batch jobs.
  • Ensure accurate creation of new entries and clearing of previous entries based on system date and configuration entries.

Reconciliation Validation:

  • Validate the reconciliation process for inventory, ensuring discrepancies between different data sources are resolved.
  • Verify the update of relevant tables based on reconciliation results.

Error Handling:

  • Identify and handle errors during various processes.
  • Validate system behavior when no data is available for extraction or when no details are updated in relevant tables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in SAP S/4 Hana systems and retail industry.
  • Strong background in quality assurance and functional testing.
  • Experience with data extraction logic and reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with custom table creation and update in SAP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with API or CDS view approach for data extraction.
  • Knowledge of calendar and inventory snapshot enhancement.
  • IDOC/XML file extraction
  • Knowledge of accounts payable
  • Familiarity with batch job processes and system date validations.
