A leading Indian packaged foods and snacking brand with a strong legacy and nationwide presence. The company offers a wide portfolio across snacks, sweets, and ready-to-eat categories, with a fast-growing footprint in e-commerce, quick-commerce, and international markets.
Job Description:
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving and scaling the packaged foods portfolio across leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. This role will manage end-to-end account ownership - from business planning and commercial negotiations to execution, visibility, and performance tracking.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Account Ownership:
Manage day-to-day relationships and business health on Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Zomato (grocery/market), and other platforms. - Joint Business Planning (JBP):
Lead annual/quarterly JBP to drive topline, category penetration, and profitability; align on targets, media plans, supply readiness, and innovation calendars. - Assortment, Pricing & Promotions:
Build winning online assortments (core, value packs, exclusives); set pricing ladders; plan and execute promotions/events (SIS, Prime/Plus Days, Payday sales, Q-comm festivals). - P&L & Commercials:
Own account P&L including trade terms, margins, fees, and deductions; drive contribution profitability and ROI on spends. - Demand & Supply:
Partner with supply chain for forecasting, OTIF, fill-rates, and inventory health; minimize OOS/aged stock; manage ND/WD expansion in new dark stores/pin codes. - Visibility & Media:
Orchestrate onsite visibility (search, display, brand stores), offsite performance campaigns, and sampling; track ROAS/CTR/CR with platform and agency partners. - Content & Ratings:
Ensure best-in-class PDPs (titles, A+ content, images, claims), NPD listings, ratings & reviews improvement, and compliance with platform policies. - Data & Insights:
Track daily/weekly dashboards—sales, share, traffic, conversion, price parity, buy-box, OOS; convert insights into interventions. - Cross-Functional Leadership:
Work closely with Marketing, Trade/Finance, Supply Chain, Category, and R&D for launches, promos, claims, and compliance. - Negotiation & Compliance:
Lead terms negotiations, JBP funding, visibility packages; ensure promotional claim closures, deductions hygiene, and audit readiness. - Execution Excellence:
Build and run a monthly operating rhythm—promo calendars, PO cycles, SLA adherence, and post-event reviews.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
5–9 years in FMCG e-commerce/key account management; proven handling of Amazon + at least two of: Flipkart, BigBasket, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart/Zomato.
Category Exposure:
Packaged foods/snacking/beverages strongly preferred; experience launching NPD online.
Commercial Acumen:
Hands-on with P&L, terms, margins, claims, and deductions.
Analytics:
Advanced Excel/Sheets; comfort with platform analytics (Amazon Retail/VC/Seller Central, Flipkart Dashboard, BB Partner Portal, Q-comm portals), and campaign dashboards.
Execution & Negotiation:
Strong negotiations, project management, and stakeholder influence across platforms and internal teams.
Education:
MBA/PG preferred; graduate with strong e-com track record considered.
