JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and coordinate product development programs from definition to delivery by implementing the Product Development Process (PDP). May also manage smaller cost reduction and value engineering projects.
• Work with customers to articulate needs and ensure quality and completeness of requirements documentation such as Marketing Terms of Reference (MTOR), Value Proposition, and Agreed Terms of Reference (ATOR).
• Coordinate and manage the Integrated Product Development (IPD) teams to ensure all required deliverables are met for successful Passport and Quality review board meetings. Work with Finance, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Management, Quality, Field, Service and Marketing to ensure flawless end to end execution of programs.
• Facilitate and present at all gated reviews.
• Provide technical leadership on system design using OTIS design standards for cost, manufacturing, assembly, reliability and safety.
• Support Sales & Marketing in new product releases.
• Ensure Pilot contracts are executed and support Field and Service departments on installation, handover, and performance analysis at customer sites.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum requirement of Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputed institution.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 7-9 years of total work experience which includes experience of 5 years or more with managing projects in a product development setting. Must have experience with business case development, schedule management, risk management, and coordination of deliverables with numerous functions. Should have experience with presenting to varied audiences including senior management.

ANY OTHER KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES IF REQUIRED

• Strong/clear communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Must be proficient in English (spoken, written) this role is very visible and will involve presentations to BIS World Headquarters senior management in the US.
• Ability to team across functions and resolve conflicts.
• Proficient with formal project management tools including MS Project.
