We are on the lookout for a Business Director - Client Servicing to work with an award winning advertising agency in Mumbai
Job Summary:
The Business Director is responsible for leading key client relationships, driving strategic growth, and ensuring the seamless execution of all advertising and marketing initiatives. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, leadership, and commercial acumen to deliver exceptional client satisfaction while ensuring the agency's profitability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
- Act as the senior point of contact for major clients, ensuring a trusted partnership and long-term relationship.
- Understand clients' business goals, challenges, and market dynamics to provide proactive strategic solutions.
- Oversee all client servicing teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of campaigns and projects.
- Maintain strong communication and alignment between clients and internal teams (creative, strategy, media, digital, production).
Business & Strategy Development
- Lead account planning and contribute to clients' marketing and communication strategies.
- Identify opportunities for organic business growth and cross-selling of agency services.
- Drive new business development initiatives and pitch presentations.
- Work closely with strategy and creative teams to ensure campaigns meet business and brand objectives.
Financial Management
- Own P&L responsibility for client accounts.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and achieve targeted profitability.
- Manage annual forecasts, billing, and contract negotiations.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of account directors, managers, and executives.
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on creativity, accountability, and excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide training/development support.
Market Insight & Innovation
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and emerging communication platforms.
- Encourage innovation in campaign thinking and execution.
- Represent the agency at client and industry events as a thought leader.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in client servicing or account management within an advertising or marketing agency.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale clients and delivering measurable business results.
- Excellent leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
