Job Description IT Security Analyst

As an IT Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding Comfort Click's digital infrastructure, ensuring systems, networks, and data remain secure and compliant with global standards. You will monitor security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a robust cybersecurity posture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Security Monitoring & Incident Management

  • Monitor systems and network activity to detect unusual or unauthorized actions.
  • Investigate and document security incidents or breaches and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to patch vulnerabilities and prevent future occurrences.

Access & Identity Management

  • Manage and audit user access across platforms such as Google Workspace, AWS, BigQuery, and internal tools.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and ensure adherence to least privilege principles.
  • Oversee user lifecycle management for onboarding and offboarding processes.

Policy Enforcement & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce security policies, SOPs, and incident response plans.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and data protection standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during assessments.

Security Awareness & Training

  • Lead employee cybersecurity awareness programs covering phishing, password hygiene, and data protection.
  • Provide technical guidance on secure configurations and system hardening.

Network & Endpoint Security

  • Monitor firewall, antivirus, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Support secure configurations for company devices, VPNs, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Oversee network security policies and ISP-level access controls.

Risk Management & Reporting

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and present findings to management.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing incidents, alerts, and compliance metrics.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sumo Logic, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace Admin Console, AWS IAM, BigQuery, and SaaS security management.
  • Sound knowledge of incident response frameworks and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT Security, Network Administration, or Incident Management.

Preferred certifications (not mandatory):

  • CompTIA Security+
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
