MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Site Observation:

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of construction work.
  • Identify potential issues or deviations from quality standards and report them to the site management team and record all such incidents.

  • Ensure that all site operations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

  • Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure proper completion and verification of fill checklists, permit-to-work documents, pour cards, and other QA-related records before execution of site activities.

  • Create and maintain site deviation reports and ensure timely closure of deviations as per established quality procedures and standards.
  • Maintain and track the site order book, ensuring that all work is documented in line with project and quality requirements.
  • Address and manage quality-related hindrances or delays during construction, ensuring prompt resolution.

3. Suggestions for Improvement:

  • Assess construction processes and materials used on-site and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Work closely with project managers and contractors to implement changes that address quality concerns and prevent future issues.
  • Provide feedback and insights based on observations to improve construction practices.

4. Site Order Book and Hindrance Working:

  • Maintain and track the site order book, ensuring that all work is properly documented and ordered according to project specifications and quality.
  • Address and manage any hindrances or delays that may arise during construction related to quality, ensuring that all obstacles to quality and progress are resolved promptly.

5. Testing and Material Analysis:

  • Supervise the testing and analysis of various construction materials, including aggregates, soils, asphalt binders, concrete, and Hot Mix Asphalt.
  • In case of rejection of materials, inform the concerned for debit note process or return of material.
  • Ensure that the correct materials are used for each project and confirm they meet the required standards for strength, durability, and performance.
  • Organize, select, and sift materials, ensuring accurate sample collection and timely testing.

6. Supervision of Laboratory Operations:

  • Ensure proper lab protocols and procedures are followed during material testing.
  • Oversee the organization and upkeep of laboratory premises, equipment, and instruments, ensuring timely calibration and maintenance.
  • Train lab staff on proper testing procedures and safety protocols, ensuring high-quality testing standards.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines and ensure the safety of all personnel involved in the testing and construction process.

7. Report Sharing:

  • Collect and validate test data, analyse results, and prepare detailed reports for senior staff and other stakeholders of project.
  • Share findings with Project Manager, contractors, and other involved parties to keep them informed of project progress and quality status.
  • Provide clear and concise technical reports, reviews, and summaries to keep all stakeholders updated.
