Job Description

Handle procurement of raw materials, components, and services required for valve manufacturing.​

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.​

Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve optimal commercial and delivery outcomes for the organization.​

Develop and implement procurement plans based on production schedules and inventory needs.​

Issue purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of materials.​

Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records for audit and management review.​

Track and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow and avoid shortages or overstocking.​

Analyze market trends, benchmark costs, and identify savings opportunities without sacrificing quality.​

Coordinate with internal teams—production, stores, quality control, and finance—for seamless operations and issue resolution.​

Ensure vendor compliance with quality requirements, safety standards, and organizational policies.​

Prepare and present regular reports on procurement status, cost-saving measures, and supplier performance.​

Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in procurement software, Excel, and basic ERP/MIS systems.​

Sound knowledge of mechanical component specifications relevant to the valve industry.​

Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for supplier and cross-team collaboration.​

Analytical approach towards supplier assessment and cost comparison.​

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.​

Experience

Preferred: 1–3 years in procurement roles in the valve, mechanical, or manufacturing industry.​

Women are encouraged to apply.

Familiarity with raw material purchasing (such as forgings, castings, flanges, pipes) is an advantage.​
