Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor- SOL

FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR

• Essential :

• A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant discipline

• A Minimum of 15 years of experience in teaching/research and / or industry at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research leading to Ph.D degree/academic administration in a University or/and in any of its affiliated College or/and Research Institute or research Centre, wholly or in parts.

AND

• Minimum 10 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

AND

• Minimum Research Score of 120

AND

• Successfully guided at least 2 doctoral candidates.

OR

• In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:

• First Class Master's Degree in relevant discipline.

• Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline and industrial/professional experience of fifteen years managerial experience, out of which at least eight years at senior level or in a position equivalent to the level of Associate Professor/Reader.

Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

FOR THE POST OF ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

• Essential :

• A Ph.D. Degree with First Class Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant discipline.

• A Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/research and / or industry at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research leading to Ph.D degree/academic administration in a University or/and in any of its affiliated College or/and Research Institute or research Centre, wholly or in parts.

AND

• Minimum 7 SCI Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

AND

• Minimum Research Score of 75

OR

• In the event the candidate is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:

• First Class Master's Degree in Law.

• Significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline and industrial / professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Assistant Professor.

Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

i. Essential:

a) Master's Degree in a related discipline with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade or Cumulative Grade Point Average in a defined scale, with good academic record. The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or SLET/SET accredited by UGC.

OR

ii. Without prejudice to the above, the following conditions may be considered desirable :

a) Ph.D. preferred with 2 years of experience.

b) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

c) Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work in the peer-reviewed or UGC listed Journals. Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Ph.D. guidance, Consultancy projects, and patent filed.

Pay Scales: As per UGC guidelines; but will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
