Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Help Desk & Operations Manager to lead the Network Operations Center (KNOC) team at Arista Networks, Chennai. The ideal candidate will oversee daily network operations, incident management, service delivery, and team performance across a 24x7 support environment. This role is both strategic and hands-on, responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of Aristas global network infrastructure and customer support systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of ~20 NOC engineers and help desk professionals, ensuring efficient network monitoring, ticket resolution, and incident response.
  • Define and implement operational processes, escalation protocols, and SLAs to improve uptime and response efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Infrastructure, and Customer Success) for issue resolution and service optimization.
  • Drive automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives across network operations.
  • Monitor KPIs, generate operational reports, and manage continuous service improvement efforts.
  • Mentor and develop team members; ensure skill growth and shift coverage planning for 24x7 operations.
  • Oversee incident, change, and problem management in accordance with ITIL best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT operations experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within NOC or KNOC environments.
  • Strong technical understanding of network infrastructure, monitoring tools, and incident management workflows.
  • Proven track record in managing large technical teams in a high-availability environment.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, or DevOps-based monitoring will be an added advantage.
