HR Generalist – Payroll & Compliance

Location:
Ahmedabad

Experience Required:
Minimum 3 years in Payroll & Compliance

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled
HR Generalist
with a strong specialization in
Payroll Management and Statutory Compliance
, preferably from
Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Retail
sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling large teams and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in payroll and related HR processes.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

·       End-to-end payroll processing for large employee strength, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

·       Validate attendance, leave records, overtime, and incentive calculations.

·       Coordinate with Finance for salary disbursement.

·       Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.

Compliance Management

·       Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund, etc.).

·       File all mandatory returns on time.

·       Liaise with government authorities and external auditors.

·       Keep updated with changes in labour laws and regulations.

HR Operations

·       Support employee onboarding and exit processes with respect to payroll & benefits.

·       Maintain employee records in HRMS and ensure data accuracy.

·       Coordinate with internal departments for smooth payroll and compliance operations.

Team Management

·       Lead and mentor payroll & compliance team members.

·       Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines are met.

Desired Candidate Profile

·       
Education:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

·       
Experience:
Minimum 3 years in payroll & compliance with exposure to large-scale workforce management.

·       
Sector Preference:
Manufacturing, Pharma, or Retail.

·       Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.

·       Proficiency in HRMS, MS Excel, and payroll software.

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Competencies

·       Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·       Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with employees at all levels.
