Title: Senior Executive - GST & TDS

Location: Karvenagar, Pune

Reporting to: Chartered Accountant

Department: Taxation

Job Objective:

To manage all compliance, accounting, and operational aspects of GST and TDS independently, ensuring timely

filings, reconciliations, and adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations under the Income Tax Act, 1961 and

the CGST Act, 2017 and State GST Acts.

Key Responsibilities:

GST Compliance:

  1. End-to-end preparation and filing of:

o GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 (Annual Return), GSTR-9C (Reconciliation Statement, if applicable).

  1. Monthly reconciliation of:

o GSTR-2B with purchase register and books.

o Outward supply vs GSTR-1 vs GSTR-3B vs books.

  1. Application of rules w.r.t. RCM, Input Tax Credit (Eligible & Ineligible) while calculating the liability.

  2. Calculation of monthly liability and communicating it to the clients for making payments.

  3. Preparation of challans and Ensuring Timely payment of GST liability.

  4. Maintain records for GST audits and departmental inspections.

  5. Handling submissions of notices, scrutiny, audit proceedings, and liaisoning with the GST department.

  6. Maintenance of Input Tax Credit registers and reconciliation with books of accounts.

TDS Compliance:

  1. Timely deduction and deposit of TDS/TCS under the Income Tax Act.

  2. Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns – 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc. and corrections thereof, if any.

  3. Preparation of TDS challans and reconciliation of TDS ledgers.

  4. Timely issuance of TDS certificates in Form 16 and 16A.

  5. Preparation of Form 15CA/15CB data for foreign remittances in coordination with CA (where required).

  6. Managing lower/NIL deduction certificates and applicability thereof.

  7. Handling TDS-related notices from CPC-TDS/Income Tax Department.

  8. Tracking PAN compliance and validation for vendors and employees.

Skills & Competencies:

✓ Working Practical knowledge of GST laws, rules, procedures, and portal functionalities.

✓ Good understanding of TDS provisions and hands-on with TRACES and Income Tax portal.

✓ Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.), MS Excel, and GST/TDS utilities.

✓ Ability to interpret tax laws and apply them to business transactions.

✓ Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.

✓ Self-motivated and able to handle responsibilities independently.

Qualifications:

  • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in GST & TDS compliance.
  • Candidates working in a CA firm or mid-size organization with hands-on exposure will be preferred.

Remuneration:

As per industry standards and experience.
