Role Overview
The Technical Business Development Manager will lead end-to-end business generation for our wedge wire filtration products, focusing on industrial and municipal water treatment projects. This role combines technical know-how with strategic business outreach ideal for someone who has sold process equipment like filters, screens, clarifiers, or other mechanical systems to EPCs, OEMs, and plant owners.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and close business opportunities in the water, wastewater, and environmental engineering sectors.
- Build and manage relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, plant consultants, and government project integrators.
- Translate client requirements (flow rate, MOC, slot size, filtration rating, etc.) into actionable solutions with the design and production teams.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Track tenders, pre-qualifications, and RFQs from central, state, and private projects.
- Represent Multitech Engineers at industry expos, trade fairs, and technical conferences.
- Generate market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and upcoming infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with marketing for digital campaigns, technical content, and lead management.
- Drive quarterly sales targets and strategic growth objectives in collaboration with top management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (mandatory).
- 5-8 years of experience in business development, techno-commercial sales, or key accounts within filtration, process equipment, or water treatment sectors.
- Strong understanding of filtration systems, pumps, valves, clarifiers, and treatment process flow.
- Familiarity with EPC and municipal project lifecycles (bidding, procurement, execution).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Comfort with field travel and client visits across India.
