Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Design and Development:

  2. Collaborate closely with Engineers to devise the best technical strategies and execute

platform enhancements.

  1. Own the delivery of timelines, ensuring high-quality results.

  2. Establish software development best practices and encourage team adoption.

  3. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  4. Work with various technical/non technical stakeholders (Product Managers,

Designers, Marketing, Operations, API Developers) to align on company objectives

and deliverables.

  1. Mentoring and Leadership:

  2. Mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support.

  3. Foster a culture of excellence and problem-solving within the team.

  4. Application Availability and Enhancement:

  5. Ensure top-notch availability and enhance products based on requirements.

  6. Good understanding of mobile application frameworks and stay up to date with the

latest Android trends and changes.

  1. Engineering Excellence:

  2. Own the engineering excellence and operational readiness of services, meeting SLAs

and SLOs for the app.

  1. Drive service quality, security, scalability, and other performance aspects.

  2. Dive deep into issues, providing both reactive and long-term solutions.

  3. Support and Mentorship:

  4. Assist other Support Engineers on complex RCA issues.

  5. Provide technical mentoring and guidance to fellow engineers.

  6. Offer L3 engineering support.

Must Have Skills:

● Overall 6+ years of experience with 4+ years of relevant experience in developing complex,

large-scale Android applications.

● Candidates should have experience in OTT, Android TV,live streaming etc.

● Excellent proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK and OOP concepts.

● To describe the responsibilities of classes in MVVM and MVVM Clean Architecture.

● Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices ∙

● Good understanding of Android basics like memory management, thread management,

networking etc.

● Good understanding of android architecture components and Jetpack libraries ∙

● Good understanding of Kotlin coroutines and async programming ∙

● Hands-on experience with Unit testing and debugging distributed systems ∙

● Good understanding of dependency injection with Dagger2 or Hilt ∙

● Experience in UI Development using Jetpack compose toolkit is an added advantage ∙

● Hands-on knowledge of supporting multiple versions of Android, screen resolutions and

device types.

● Experience of working with the TIF layer is an added advantage.

● Effective communication and soft skills ∙ Working knowledge of tools like Git, Jira.

Qualification: ● A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or technical degree.
