Position: Android Developer
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for an experienced Android developer who comes with a strong Android software
  • development background and has experience in developing robust applications.
  • Candidates from B2C background would be preferred who can provide Android solution for entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support) and troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
  • Key responsibilities:
  • *) Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
  • *) Must pay special attention to the application's compatibility with multiple versions of Android and device types.
  • *) Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • *) Bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • *) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • *) Work with outside data sources and API's.
  • *) Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Skills:
  • *) 2+ years experience having strong knowledge of Android SDK and java.
  • *) Different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • *) Experience working with product management and UI/UX designers.
  • *) Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • *) Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON. RESTful APIs to connect Android
  • applications to back-end services (Volley / Retrofit).
  • *) Experience in Google Map integrations and location tracking.
  • *) Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • *) Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • *) Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch".
  • *) Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers.
  • *) Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks.
  • *) Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • *) Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • *) A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • *) Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Additional skillset:
  • *) Good to have knowledge in Kotlin
  • *) Good to have knowledge in IOT
  • Required qualification:
  • *) BTech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject from a reputed university
  • *) Proven software development experience and Android skills development.
  • *) Proven working experience in Android app development
  • Timings : Full time resource who can work from 9.30am to 6.30pm
