Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tally software, and Zoho Books. The ideal candidate will assist in day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the senior accounting team in ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Entry and Record Keeping

  2. Maintain and update financial records in Tally and Zoho Books.

  3. Ensure timely and accurate data entry of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.

  4. Bank and Ledger Reconciliation

  5. Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements and general ledgers.

  6. Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

  7. Accounts Payable and Receivable

  8. Process accounts payable and receivable, including preparing payment schedules.

  9. Generate and send invoices to customers, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding payments.

  10. Financial Reporting

  11. Prepare financial reports, summaries, and statements as required.

  12. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  13. Taxation and Compliance

  14. Assist in filing GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.

  15. Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.

  16. Budgeting and Forecasting

  17. Support the senior accountant in budget preparation and expense tracking.

  18. Analyze variances between actuals and budgets to provide insights.

  19. General Administrative Support

  20. Assist in maintaining physical and digital records for audits.

  21. Support the accounting team in ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, and advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
