Job Overview

Rao Consultants is seeking a dedicated and experienced Counsellor for a mid-level, full-time position at their Ahmedabad location. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and support to students aspiring to study abroad, ensuring they have access to the best educational opportunities. This role requires a strong background in international education, student counseling, visa guidance, and admissions consulting.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in student counseling, with a focus on international education and guidance.
  • Extensive knowledge of visa procedures and regulations to assist with international travel and studies.
  • Ability to offer admissions consulting, providing students with comprehensive advice on course and institution selection.
  • Proficient in providing career guidance to help students with their academic and professional aspirations.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and presentation purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and educational institutions worldwide.
  • Must have empathetic listening skills to understand and address the individual needs and concerns of students.
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity in handling student information and records.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive student counseling sessions to assess students' educational and career goals.
  • Guide students through the entire process of applying to international universities and institutions.
  • Provide expert advice on visa application processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Offer tailored admissions consulting services, aiding students in course and institution selection.
  • Equip students with detailed information about various competitive exams like IELTS, PTE, GRE, SAT and CELPIP.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in international education policies and visa regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions and partner organizations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of counseling programs, striving for excellence in student support.
