Business Development Manager Surety Sales and Client Servicing

Essential Functions (Job description)

Key Responsibility:

  • This is a Business Development Profile to secure a flow of new revenue for the company.
  • To develop a positive business relationship with clients and prospects.
  • Personally meet with prospects, conducts in depth dialogue, and develops a positive business relationship built on mutual trust
  • Responsible for meeting Annual New Business development target and day-to-day co-ordination with the Salasar corporate sales team as well as Branch heads to provide confidence to pursue surety proposals.
  • Ensuring consistent support and engagement with the Salasar sales and servicing team to secure a flow of new and repeated revenue for the company.
  • Keeps up to date on prospects' current issues, research new information on prospects.
  • Ensures timeframes and deliverables are met in the sales process; and ensures that post- sales teams provide quality service to all assigned clients.
  • Develops and maintains effective network within the business community and industry.

Other Responsibility: Assist in preparing proposals for client presentations and participate in group presentations. Support senior colleagues with research papers.

Candidates Profile: -

Academic Background: CA/MBA Finance from reputed institute preferred (or as an exception if the experience has strong flavor of techno marketing, underwriting in corporate house credit analysis, Project finance underwriting and appraisal)

Work Experience: -

  • Those with Banking / Infrastructure Financing/ Surety Insurance Sales background are preferred.

  • Corporate Relationship Management / Business Solution Provider from a service background.

  • Domain knowledge preferred

Personality and skill sets: -

  • Learner

  • Proven Leadership skill traits (in the present Job, community, school and college background of having active participation and leadership role in co-curricular activities)

  • Relationship Management

  • Drive for results

  • Selling & negotiation skills

  • Strong Communication / presentation skills

Desirable

  • Financial Services industry (General Insurance Industry)
  • Prior experience in Surety Insurance line.
