Role & responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement
- Develop and implement zonal sales strategies aligned with overall business goals.
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets for the region.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adapt sales plans.
2. Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Territory Sales Officers (TSOs), and channel partners.
- Conduct regular training and performance reviews.
- Build a high-performing sales culture focused on accountability and results.
3. Channel & Dealer Management
- Expand and strengthen dealer/distributor network across the zone.
- Ensure healthy channel relationships, timely payments, and inventory management.
- Resolve channel conflicts and provide support for channel growth.
4. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients (builders, contractors, architects, etc.).
- Support the sales team in converting key accounts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.
5. Market Development & Brand Building
- Identify new markets and customer segments for business expansion.
- Coordinate with marketing teams for promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meets.
6. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and dashboards for senior management.
- Monitor KPIs like revenue, volume, profitability, and collection efficiency.
- Use CRM and other tools for data-driven decision-making.
7. Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with supply chain, logistics, finance, and product teams to ensure seamless operations.
