Position: Admission Counsellor

Location: Matunga

Experience: 2–5 years

Education: Any Associate Degree

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-oriented Admission Counsellor to guide prospective students through the admission process and help them choose programs that align with their academic and career goals. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for student guidance, and prior experience in admissions, counselling, or educational sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective students through calls, walk-ins, emails, and online enquiries.
  • Understand students' educational backgrounds and career aspirations to recommend suitable programs.
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding courses, eligibility, admission procedures, fees, and schedules.
  • Follow up with leads and maintain a healthy conversion ratio from enquiry to enrollment.
  • Maintain and update the student database, enquiry records, and follow-up details.
  • Conduct campus tours and participate in student orientation sessions when required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, academics, operations) to ensure smooth admissions.
  • Meet weekly and monthly admission targets and reporting requirements.
  • Represent the institution in educational fairs, promotional events, and outreach activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with students and parents.
  • Sales aptitude with experience in counselling or educational services.
  • Good problem-solving, listening, and presentation abilities.
  • Comfortable with both online and offline counselling modalities.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
