About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, growth-focused
Head of Marketing
to lead the entire marketing function across digital, retail, and brand initiatives. This leader will spearhead the marketing vision, accelerate growth across online and offline channels, build high-impact campaigns, and manage a team of marketers & external partners to drive brand and revenue outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who has built or scaled marketing for
consumer brands, retail, fashion, or marketplaces
, and understands how to drive omnichannel growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the overall marketing strategy for brand, performance, and revenue growth across all platforms.
- Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning, budgeting, and performance forecasting.
2. Brand Building & Creative Direction
- Strengthen and evolve brand positioning.
- Lead high-impact storytelling, campaigns, and creative content direction that resonates across digital, retail, and media platforms.
- Ensure brand consistency across all consumer and partner touchpoints.
3. Performance Marketing & Growth
- Oversee paid marketing across channels (Google, Meta, marketplaces, affiliates, influencer networks).
- Drive customer acquisition, conversions, and retention through data-driven strategies.
- Optimize marketing spends for maximum ROI and sustainable growth.
4. Omnichannel & Retail Marketing
- Build marketing strategies for both
online marketplace + offline stores
to create an integrated customer experience. - Plan and execute in-store promotions, collaborations, events, and regional marketing initiatives.
- Work closely with retail business teams to drive store footfall, conversions, and customer engagement.
5. Data, Insights & Business Reporting
- Define and monitor KPIs across brand, performance, and retail.
- Present weekly and monthly performance dashboards to leadership with clear insights and action plans.
- Use analytics to identify new growth opportunities, customer segments, and market trends.
6. Stakeholder & Agency Management
- Collaborate with leadership, merchandising, retail, product, operations, and creative teams.
- Manage agencies for performance marketing, digital media, PR, creative, and marketplace management.
- Build strategic partnerships with platforms, industry partners, and collaborators.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 7–10 years of marketing experience
, preferably with consumer brands, retail, or online marketplaces. - Strong expertise in performance marketing (Google, Meta, marketplace ads).
- Proven experience in building brand strategy and executing omnichannel campaigns.
- Strong analytical mindset; proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Ads Manager, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance creative brand thinking with performance and revenue goals.
Preferred Experience
- Leading marketing functions for fashion, lifestyle, D2C, marketplaces, or omnichannel retail brands.
- Experience in scaling new-age brands or growth-stage startups.
- Strong understanding of consumer behaviour in digital commerce and retail environments.
