The Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with the VP, regional business and sales team for Lubrizol's Fluid Engineering division to develop, execute and measure marketing campaigns that inform, inspire, and engage our internal and external customers in Lubrizol's purpose, strategy, and values.

Key to your success will be your ability to demonstrate leadership, communication, and influence in the development of marketing both with internal and external stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Director of Global Marketing LZA under Lubrizol's Marketing Communications Organization, supporting the Lubrizol Fluid Engineering business within Lubrizol Additives.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop a global marketing strategy including a breakdown of each region: Create, implement and execute comprehensive marketing plans that support LFE business areas as well as customer and distributor initiative, aligned with global marketing objectives.

  • Content creation and management: Create engaging and localized content for various marketing channels, including social media, websites, blogs, and email campaigns. Adapt global content to fit the local market and cultural nuances. Develop concepts that convert highly technical and scientific features of our products into understandable and meaningful benefits.

  • Apply marketing tools and techniques to advise and help customers identify ways to improve their marketing mix to achieve their business targets.
  • Brand management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing collateral, both regionally and globally. Collaborate with global teams to maintain brand guidelines.

  • Media relations: Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets and journalists to secure coverage and press releases. Coordinate with global PR teams to ensure consistent messaging and maximize media exposure.

  • Event management: Plan and execute regional marketing events, trade shows, and conferences, including logistics, booth design (working with agency / creative services, collateral creation, and post-event evaluation. Collaborate with global teams for international events.
  • Digital marketing: Develop and implement digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and email marketing campaigns. Monitor digital analytics and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management, sales, technical, regional marketing teams and marketing communications leadership, to align marketing strategies and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Performance reporting: Provide regular reports on marketing communication activities, campaign performance, and ROI to regional and global stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, MBA a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of prior marketing, sales, or commercial/product management experience. Ideally both B2C and B2B experience.
  • Demonstrated strategy development with global execution using business acumen and marketing CRM and SEP tools to drive results.
  • A track record to motivate and work with  cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience working face to face with both internal and external stakeholders and building outstanding customer relationships.
  • An ability to develop and influence new marketing concepts and techniques.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing and managing a budget.
  • Ability to travel regionally and globally (20%).
