What You Will Own

The role is responsible for end-to-end legal risk management, including advisory, dispute handling, and strengthening the legal governance framework. It involves reviewing and enhancing internal policies and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role provides legal support for business strategies and projects while staying updated on relevant legal and regulatory developments. Key responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements, Risk management across the organization, Legal research across labour, IP, Corporate & allied laws, Due diligence, Litigation Management, Corporate Governance, etc.

Experience You Should Bring

  • Expert Knowledge of constitution, legal terminology, regulations, legal procedures and processes.
  • Working knowledge of litigation management in computer software industry would be advantageous.
  • Should have exposure of handling corporate legal matters with hands on experience of drafting/reviewing various kinds of legal agreements/ business contracts/JV agreements/ MOU etc. Should have thorough knowledge of Legal Process in the Country under various Laws applicable for businesses.
  • Hands on Experience on Legal impact on various Business Strategies, New projects, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and experience about Intellectual Property Laws (Trademark, Copyright, Patent, etc.) – domestic and international – both.
  • International Legal experience, particularly in the region of Middle East, Africa, etc.
  • Working experience of handling Regulated entities and Fintech entities.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Corporate Governance Framework including Risk Management.
  • Hands on Company Law matters. Should have thorough knowledge of corporate and allied laws with specialization on Companies Act and Rules, Processes and Guidelines thereunder.
  • Liaison with Advocates & Lawyers for court cases.
  • Should have excellent legal drafting, reviewing and interpretation skills with in-depth detail orientation. Knowledge of MS Office tools (MS Word, MS Excel etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Labour Laws.
  • Working knowledge of Techno legal areas like Infosec aspects, Cert-In guidelines, Tech related laws, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of Labour laws, viz., New Labour codes, Workmen Compensation Act, PF, ESI, Payment of Gratuity, Bonus, Sexual Harassment of Women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal ) etc.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Legal risk management, advisory, documentation, dispute management strengthen the existing legal risk governance framework that integrates legal compliance with the business model.
  • To review/improve / enhance internal policies / procedures / documentation in accordance with Legal and regulatory requirements on an ongoing basis in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Timely escalation to the reporting head, where necessary on significant legal risk items, and identifying remediation or mitigation measures for such legal risk items.
  • Full legal support in business strategies, new projects.
  • Keep abreast of and inform management on relevant developments in software industry, such as court ruling or legislative amendments under all applicable laws.
  • Reviewing, Interpreting, Negotiation of various types of contracts, agreements, fintech agreements, MOU, Legal documents, notices, legal communications, etc.
  • Research on Labour Laws, IP Laws, Company Law, and other allied laws impacting the corporate sector
  • Liaison with counsels on litigation management.
  • Provide legal opinion, as required by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage all Trademark, patent, copyright, registrations – Domestic & International -both.
  • Real estate property registrations, documents due diligence for property purchase, etc.
