Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mandarin Language Expert, based in Tamil Nadu, India. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality translation, interpretation, and language-related support for both internal and external communication. They will be collaborating with various teams to translate and interpret business documents, facilitate communication between Mandarin and English-speaking teams, and support cross-cultural exchanges to ensure effective collaboration. The role also includes tasks related to written communication in Mandarin for business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (or relevant field)
  • Proven experience of 5 years in a maintenance, repair, or operations role, preferably in a manufacturing /
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and coordination skills — working cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and technical teams
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
  • Proficiency in Translation and Interpreting skills between Mandarin and English
  • Strong Communication and Language Services skills to facilitate interactions across language barriers
  • Experience with Writing and content creation in a professional setting
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines
  • Knowledge of cultural nuances to ensure smooth communication
  • Prior experience in the technology, energy, or manufacturing sectors is an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Mandarin language studies, linguistics, communications, or a related field
