Job Summary

The Car Manager is responsible for overseeing daily vehicle operations, including maintenance, inspections, repairs, inventory management, and team coordination. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal vehicle performance, safety compliance, and efficient service delivery. The Car Manager ensures that all vehicles are well-maintained and that customer satisfaction and operational efficiency remain high.

Key Responsibilities1. Vehicle Maintenance & Technical Oversight

  • Supervise and coordinate routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, and diagnostics.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
  • Review repair reports, diagnose issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain service records and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines.

2. Operations & Fleet Management

  • Manage the allocation, scheduling, and availability of vehicles.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and downtime; implement strategies to reduce breakdowns.
  • Oversee procurement of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Ensure proper documentation for registrations, insurance, and regulatory compliance.

3. Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and supervise mechanics, technicians, and support staff.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Promote safe work practices and enforce workshop safety standards.

4. Customer & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Interact with customers or departments to understand vehicle issues and service needs.
  • Provide technical explanations and repair estimates.
  • Ensure timely delivery of services and high customer satisfaction.

5. Budget & Reporting

  • Manage maintenance budgets and control operational costs.
  • Prepare reports on vehicle performance, repair costs, and workshop efficiency.
  • Assist management with forecasting and planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, workshop management, or fleet operations.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair processes.
  • Ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in automotive service or workshop management.
  • Experience in dealer service centers, fleet management, or transport companies.
  • Familiarity with modern vehicle technologies (EVs, hybrid systems, OBD tools).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12, ₹15,000.00 per month
