Role & responsibilities

  • Effectively manage, strategize and monitor all ongoing litigation matters including but not limited to Arbitrations, involving the Company, including tracking key milestones, deadlines and court appearances.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including but not limited to legal notices, legal opinions, pleadings and other relevant documentation required for litigation.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external legal counsel, monitor their performance and manage legal costs effectively while ensuring quality representation in litigation matters.
  • Directly interacting with government officials, including but not limited to regulators and law enforcement.
  • Supervise and maintain proper documentation in the corporate office with regards to all legal cases and disputes.
  • Represent Company in matters related to Civil or Criminal cases at various police stations/courts/or any other legal related statutory office.
  • Coordinate with and seek legal opinion, as required, from external lawyers.
  • Drafting letters / applications to be made to various authorities, as well as drafting replies / responses to be issued to various authorities in response to the legal notices.
  • Periodically preparing and updating the MIS of the ongoing litigations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to identify potential risks and liabilities associated with the company's operations and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Establish and maintain relationship with government officials, lawmakers and regulatory bodies at various levels.

Preferred candidate profile

The Senior Executive Legal will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Company's legal and regulatory interests and his deep expertise in corporate law, contract negotiation and contract management will help steer Company's legal strategy while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

In addition to the same, the Senior Executive Legal will establish and manage robust internal legal processes, building a foundation for efficient operations and compliance. This role also involves team management responsibilities, ensuring the legal team is well- coordinated and aligned with organizational goals.

The Senior Executive - Legal will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, addressing complex legal issues, negotiating contract and serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
