Role Summary:
The Travel Sales Executive is responsible for selling customized domestic and international travel packages. The role demands hands-on experience in lead handling, destination knowledge, CRM usage, quotation building, and driving high conversion rates while maintaining client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Itinerary Conversion:
- Handle inbound and outbound leads via CRM, WhatsApp, call, email, and web-based
platforms.
- Analyze customer requirements, recommend suitable destinations, and build
customized itineraries within the clients budget and preferences.
- Convert leads into confirmed bookings with a target conversion rate of 20-25% on
qualified leads.
- Prepare quotations using internal rate cards, vendor APIs, and OTA/DMC integrations.
- Ensure high responsiveness with lead response.
Travel Product Knowledge:
- Recommend cost-effective travel options for flights, accommodations, transfers,
sightseeing, and visas for destinations across Southeast Asia, Europe, UAE, Maldives,
Mauritius, and domestic hotspots.
- Maintain familiarity with visa processes, seasonal pricing patterns, travel insurance, and
cancellation norms.
CRM & Sales Workflow Management:
- Maintain real-time sales activities and updates in CRM
- Follow standardized lead stages
- Manage daily follow-ups, callbacks, quote revisions, and upsell/cross-sell touchpoints.
Client Communication:
- Professionally communicate through calls, emails, voice notes, and WhatsApp to explain
itineraries and address objections.
- Share Google Docs/PDFs of packages with clear inclusions, exclusions, payment terms,
and cancellation policies.
- Deliver proposals using presentation tools when required.
Coordination & Execution Support:
- Coordinate with ticketing, operations, visa, and finance teams for seamless booking and
post-sales support.
- Share confirmations, vouchers, and pre-travel checklists with clients before departure.
- Handle rescheduling, cancellations, and rebooking with clear client communication.
Essential Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and Hindi.
- Customer-centric sales approach with objection handling capability.
- Time management and multitasking under pressure.
- Basic understanding of P&L per package (cost vs. margin).
- Collaborative mindset with operations, visa, and post-sales teams.
Work Environment:
- 5-day work week ( weekend off based on roster).
- Availability during seasonal surges, long weekends, and holidays.
- Incentives based on sales target slabs.
